Greeting Card Project: Moon and Stars
What you need
- card stock - black metallic - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded to make a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card blank
- light weight card stock - white - 8 1/2" x 11"
- star punch
- moon and stars rubber stamp
- embossing powder - white
- heat gun
- ribbon - white or silver
- glue stick
- paper trimmer (optional)
How to do it
Step 1
Use the star punch on the card front four or five times.
Step 2
To make the liner - Fold the white card in half. For the deckled edges to extend about 3/8," Make the tears so the dimensions are about 6 1/4" x 10" or 6 1/4" x 5" folded in half.
Use a paint brush to "paint" water where you want the tear. Give the water time to soak in, then carefully tear on that line. For a finer edge, hold a straight edge on the paper as a tearing guide. A hot iron can be used to dry and smooth the paper.
Step 3
Stamp and emboss your image onto the card front. If the heat warps the card, put the card under a weight a few hours or overnight.
Step 4
Glue the liner in place and tie on the ribbon.
