Greeting Card Project: Red Pepper Rag

Greeting Card Designed by Ann Rismiller

What you need

  • card stock - buff - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card blank
  • transparency material for antique sheet music cover
  • card stock - red - 3" x 3"
  • paint - Lumiere metallic acrylic - color citrine
  • glue or glue stick
  • curlicue punch
  • paint brush
  • border rubber stamp
  • paper trimmer (optional)

How to do it

Step 1

The Red Pepper Rag sheet music cover image can be found here. You will need to save it to your computer and use Microsoft Word or an image editing program such as Photoshop to size it to fit on the card. The one in this example is a slightly larger than 3" x 4."

Glue the transparency on the card blank as shown in the step 1 photo.

Step 2

Using the paint brush and the Lumiere paint, apply as shown in step 2. Overlap the paint onto the transparency somewhat to help it blend.

Step 3

Use the curlicue punch on the red card stock and make several curlicues. Apply as shown in the photo. Add the border stamp at the bottom of the card.
