Greeting Card Project: Embossed Vine Plus Stamp
What you need
- card stock - white - 8½" x 5½" folded in half to make a 4¼" x 5½" card blank
- card stock - tan speckled - 3" x 3"
- card stock - white - 2 1/2" x 3"
- dragonfly stamp (credit Stampin' Up)
- embossing ink
- stencil
- stenciling brush
- glue or glue stick
- paper trimmer (optional)
How to do it
Step 1
For the vine border at the bottom and left side of the card: If you're using non-ShapeBoss stencils or templates, go to the instructions for dry embossing. If you're using the ShapeBoss, go to the ShapeBoss instructions.
Step 2
Align the vine template/stencil over the raised image on the front of the card. Using the ink pad and stenciling brush, dab the ink onto the card front through the template/stencil - this may take some practice to do a neat job. Don't forget to clean the brush and template/stencil afterward.
Step 3
Stamp the image on to the white card and trim to size. Cut the tan card 1/4" larger than the white card (so the tan border is 1/8" all the way around). Use the glue or glue stick to mount the white card to the tan card.
Step 4
Glue the tan card to the card blank in position as shown in the photo at the top of the page.
